Underdog Santiago Ponzinibbio claimed a first round knockout victory over Gunnar Nelson in the main event of UFC Glasgow.

Ponzinibbio knocked the Icelandic submission specialist down with a combination before he put him to sleep with a right hand as he lay on the ground. Nelson was so stunned that he began to wrestle the referee as he came to his senses.

It was a mixed night for Scottish MMA, with two of three national charges coming away from the SSE Hydro with losses.

Stevie Ray entered free agency with his loss to Paul Felder. Felder dedicated his win to his father, who passed away a week before his camp for the Glasgow event began. Ray got dropped in the first round and Felder finished with him with brutal elbows from top position.
